just installed virtualbox and i cant see my vol1 when try to mount and iso. this is all i see, anyone have this problem.

running raid 0 with two 3tb disks.

 

 

DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5

the screenshoot is too small to see anything useful.

 

Did you add at least 2 or more virtual disk for the RAID to be created?

 

you need to create a volume with 2 or more disk, before you see volume1

what is the status of your drives and volumes in DSM Storage Manager and File Station? Also, out of interest, why are you trying to browse the volumes, thats what File Station is best at :smile:

Disk manager shows everything is normal. Vol2 with raid 1. I'm try to mount an ISO to build a VM. Is that wrong to do? I don't have a DVD-ROM drive connected to my nas.

I'm not a frequent user of virtualbox, but recall its similar to esxi etc

So lets assume your .iso file is in a shared folder on volume1

Map a drive on your computer to that shared folder, then you should be able to browse to it and connect it to the virtual cdrom

I know this is not much of a help but: your screenshot does NOT show the DMS root parition, it does show the xpenoboot partition of the bootloader.

The DSM root partition would include the folders /volumen (where n is a number starting with 1).
