abced Posted July 6, 2016 Share #54 Posted July 6, 2016 Yeah, they sent us all the same email. I just hope they will actually manage to do something.
dyce Posted July 6, 2016 Share #55 Posted July 6, 2016 Also try: compliance@sfconservancy.org , https://sfconservancy.org/copyleft-compliance/ They can act on behalf of the copyright holders of Linux. If anyone owns a Synology NAS, go ahead and email Synology and ask for the source code (don't ask for it to be published to sourceforge, just ask for a copy, because the license allows any form of distribution). If they don't send the source, forward that email to sfconservancy, that should be enough evidence.

zulu7 Posted November 21, 2017 Share #58 Posted November 21, 2017 (edited) Is there any update on this matter? Really interesting reading. Last week i attended their product update (i live in SEA), and they were really proud of their DSM 6.2 and 18series product (218, 718+, 918+, etc..) i just wish i had read this last week, that would be awesome cos i can ask questions about this to their face, while there's tons of media in the same room. IG-88 Posted November 26, 2017 Share #59 Posted November 26, 2017 the latest 6.1 (15217) is missing ("only" 15152 is availible) but for 6.2 (beta) source seems availible https://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/files/Synology NAS GPL Source/22259branch/ 918+ is apollolake, also availible as 6.1 (15152) https://sourceforge.net/projects/dsgpl/files/Synology NAS GPL Source/15152branch/apollolake-source/

This allows developers to start updating and testing their packages. It also serves for bug tracking. This said, I don't think they will be releasing the final version of the source for 6.2 for quite some time following DSM 6.2 public release.
