DSM 5.2-5967 out now - safe to install?

Hello everyone,

 

the new DSM 5.2-5967 is out now and I just want to know if someone has tested this on a VM or bare-metal machine, yet?

Does it work with XPEnoboot 5.2-5644.5?

Updated a VM, needed to reboot.

After reboot everything was running fine.

Does Surveillance station 7.0-3775 works as well as on 5644.8 version, or someone got trouble with auto-shutdown etc ?

Did a bare metal install. System did a reboot, after that normal operations.

New to Xpeneology - installed in Hyper-V last week and running well. Where and how would you install this update, from Xpenology itself or from the boot screen install/update?

Tested it myself on HP ProLiant Gen8 bare metal. After reboot everything is working fine.

Just upgraded on a bare metal machine that was running 5644.8.

 

After a successful upgrade and reboot, looks that everything is running normally (checked a few of my most used packages). Will post an update if anything goes awry in the coming days.

Just updated to 5.2-5967 successfully via web console. Rebooted and haven't seen any issues.

I always freak out about doing updates, I think understandably...

 

So no need to update the bootloader? Just use DSM control panel?

After upgrade on my HP Microserver GEN8, the nfs sharing from server 2012 doesn't work...

How is this installed? I tried doing it from the control panel as well as a manual update with the .pat from synology. It stops the update at 22% and doesn't continue. I can't seem to use ssh to do much. Can't read logs in /var.

has been fixed. This is because after reboot the script 'S99mount.sh' which is used to map share folder via nfs has gone. Then I add it again then reboot, now it works!

Select only important updates in update settings, and it will stay on 5.2.

Is anyone else having issues logging into phpVirtualBox after the update? I can get to web browser login page but cannot log in. I'm getting the following issue:

Another thing to note, can anyone select Control Panel > Hardware & Power > Enable UPS support
