First, Sorry for bad English.

I try to solve it while watching our country web site. but I couldn't solve it

I bought a HP Microserver N40L few days ago from craiglist.

I installed DSM 6.2.3 25426 update 3 with Jun's mod 1.03b and Hacked BIOS (for extra HDD bay on 5.25)

and I changed CR2032 Battery last night.

First problem is doesn't work WOL function.

I matched MAC address in grub.cfg file with real MAC address in BIOS.

I checked 2 options in Power Recovery, Hardware & Power, Control Panel.

I set WOL option to enabled in BIOS.

I sended Magic Packet on a router. It doesn't work.

also The Schedule boot up is not working.

Second problem is about schedule boot up.

Someone told me, the N40L BIOS use UCT and DSM use RTC. so BIOS time is 9 hours fast than DSM.

If I make schedule 9 hours early than I want to boot up time, it will work on time.

But I doesn't work too.

I really want to solve these problems.

stay safe and have a good day.

that all looks ok, check for typo's and if you see the system with the intended mach address in network

try to verify that you wol tool works from the system you are using it from (i had some older wol tools not working with win10)

1st try to set a wakeup time in bios manually and see if the system wakes up, 2nd try with a live linux and check what setting are seen in bios (intended wake up time)

First, I am sorry for my bad English.

WOL doesn't work normally on HP Microserver gen 7 (N36L, N40L, N54L) with DSM 6.2.3 (works on DSM 6.1.7 and earlier). It's a problem with Broadcom Ethernet adapter (network card) and drivers for it.

HP Microserver gen 7 (N36L, N40L, N54L) has a problem with WOL on all Linux OS.

Look at these articles:

You need to disable broadcom network adapter in bios and install another network adapter.

I bought an intel Ethernet adapter EXPI9301CT, then I installed it in hp microserver gen7 N40L, and WOL on DSM 6.2.3 is working... on native MAC, without change MAC address.

I think, unfortunately, the matter is not so simple.

In my case, HP Microserver N54L, new installation with DS3615sx (bromolow) DSM 6.2.3 25426 update 3

with Jun's loader 1.03b and internal HP-N54L broadcom network adapter:
WOL and the Schedule boot up/down works fine. :-)

Just tested again, no problems.

I used this guide, post 81927 [--> script path for 6.2.3 is now: /usr/local/etc/rc.d/ or --> via Control Panel/Task Scheduler/ as root/bootscript]:

And before, for my very old N54L, at least this (are there newer ones?) firmware update for the internal HP NxxL microserver NIC

(unzip and installed via Windows boot stick ...):

HP-NxxL_nic.zip

(sorry, I still have to search where I found the update, could have been via:
https://www.broadcom.com/support/download-search?pf=Ethernet+Controllers&pg=Ethernet+Connectivity%2C+Switching%2C+and+PHYs
or could have been via

https://www.hardwareluxx.de/community/threads/hp-proliant-n36l-n40l-n54l-microserver.752079/

or ? - But you should be able to find newer nic firmware directly at HP...)

If this does not help, you should check your bios settings again.
