Hello, I am using the same machine, have you succeeded? I have tested all kinds of drivers, but they cannot drive, I have tested many drivers, but they cannot drive. In addition, I would like to ask how you installed 6.2.3. I used 1.03B, and the machine could not drive the network card. I would really like to know your boot version and system version so I can copy it

Hi @Aigor

Thank you for your answer. To be clear, i don`t use an HP microserver, i`m using an amd mainboard, an asrock x570 phantom gaming 4. I used the DS3622xs+ variant with uefi and bios. I included also the TG3, e1000, e1000e and i40e driver. Unfortunately, this didn`t help me. It seems, that i`m still not getting any dhcp adress... It still stucks at "starting kernel with usb boot" and i`m not able to find the ds over find.synology.com and the synology assistant. I tried it with the buildin nic (intel i211at) and removed the atlantic nic, but no success. Any other suggestions..? From anyone..?

Greetings Dominik

Try using a Intel nic card...

Hi,

Bare metal installation.

Updated ds3617xs_42218 to ds3617xs_42218 update 3 and it failed.

It went in recovery mode.

@Next

Can you share your motherboard model first?
Then, if hot plug is supported in the BIOS, turn on the hot plug option for all ports.
Please share the results of the two points.

Finally got some work success;.

I managed to install dsm7 on an hp notebook with 2 hds, when installing it gives an error because there are 6 sata ports on the motherboard controller of this notebook.. but physical there are only 1 and another is a cdrom to sata adapter.. The solution was to install only with SataPortMap=1 and DiskIdxMap=0 after installing everything i changed grub.cfg SataPortMap=6 and DiskIdxMap=00 and now all 2 hds appear successfully and maybe more if I add more adapters.

thanks.

Tried with broadwellnk-DS3622 same issue. Another ideea ? I will try with broadwell.

Have you tried

"SataPortMap": "1",
"DiskIdxMap": "02"

sata controller might start from 02 if it shows sdb and sdd on fdisk -l

then you could try

"SataPortMap": "2",
"DiskIdxMap": "02"

to be able to see both disks

A Test with G7 Chelsio T420

Proxmox 7.1-2, DS3615

When Promox starts up it says "the firmware is out of date".  Then It pauses for a few seconds and then updates the firmware to v1.26.6.0 😃

After I created the the VM, created a bridge, configured the mac address from the bridge, started TC, ran the V4 extension,  I rebooted and waited til I could ping the ip.  After about 30 seconds I was able to ping the ip.  So started the install works fine until 55%

https://imgur.com/a/VMW7cwV

This means the Chelsio V4 extension works even bridged

I've been trying to install DS3615xs DS3617xs DS3622xs+ in VM (qemu/kvm).
On DS3615xs ethernet port (e1000e) is flapping, can't get ip address. DS3622xs+ same problem.
DS3617xs is ok., but when instaling OS always get at 55% possibly a corrupted file.

less /var/log/synoupdate.log
2022/03/22 12:11:04     Start of the update...
2022/03/22 12:11:04     Upgrade from version 7.0.1.42218 to version 7.0.1.42218
2022/03/22 12:11:05     Failed to accomplish the update! (errno = 21)

VID/PID set correctly, Sataportmap set correctly. PAT file checksum coresponds with sum for pat file which was used to build loader.

@gadreel @seanone could You post some VM configuration for Unraid?
There where a lot of problems on Unraid even with 6.2 and Jun's loader, but no one wants to share their knowledge.
I don't know is this a community forum.
Someone asked on Unraid forum, but noone answered, same here.
