[DS3615xs]

./rploader.sh update now

./rploader.sh fullupgrade now

./rploader.sh serialgen DS3615xs

./rploader.sh identifyusb now

./rploader.sh satamap now

./rploader.sh build bromolow-7.0.1-42218

./rploader.sh clean now

./rploader.sh build bromolow-7.1.0-42661

./rploader.sh clean now; rm -rf /mnt/sdb3/auxfiles; rm -rf /home/tc/custom-module; ./rploader.sh backup now;

But onthe end i have SATA error on my NUC 7i7bnh :( What i can do ?

A couple of questions:

Why are you using DS3615xs?  See here for preferences: https://xpenology.com/forum/topic/61634-dsm-7x-loaders-and-platforms/

Are you trying to use SATA boot?  That is not the right option for a baremetal NUC install.  You need a USB key and choose USB boot.

It's behaving as if maxdisks = 20

Any thoughts? @pocopico @jumkey @IG-88

Well you could have started with that.  But I'm not going to copy it from the image.  You'll need to translate or switch your install to English.

Errors have been detected on the hard drives (2) and the SATA ports have been disabled. Please turn off the DS3615xs to replace or remove these hard drives and try again.

Check and make sure that AHCI mode is selected for both SATA drives in the BIOS.

after remove 3 sata HDD and connect 3 USB looks like this

1475332321_2022-05-16231635.thumb.jpg.20ad9edbb461b949a4281d739b51af72.jpg

connect more sata HDD is not seen, but new usb hdd connected as usb

it seems as if usbportcfg="0xF000000" doesn't provide an offset for USB drives after 24, when the sata are not physically connected in all 24 positions.

Mis-mapping of USB drives interacting with the intended HDD pool may be an inadvertent consequence of leaving the SataPortMap value blank.

You may have to make a decision between using the 16-port card for all 16 ports (which is working as we intended now) and having USB drives mapped correctly.

Alternatively, a device-tree based solution (DS1621+) will probably work for both, but it would be a complicated manual configuration at the moment.

"SataPortMap": "68"

maybe need to edit , "DiskIdxMap": "00060e" ?

Hi everyone and especially  @jumkey , @yanjun,

in continuation of the effort of Jumkey has put for the Redpill - Jun mod loader, i've updated to adjust to the new loader creation option.

The rploader version 0.7.1.4 will also now scan the custom_config_jun.json for platforms. The id of the JUN platforms are followed by a -JUN sign for visual identification.

For anyone willing to try, i suggest you do the following :

./rploader.sh clean now

./rploader.sh update now

./rploader.sh fullupgrade now

./rploader.sh backup now

And last you might create the Jumkey (JUN old tricks) loader by selecting any JUN marked platform and add a jun build option at the end. e.g.

./rploader.sh build  broadwellnk-7.0.1-42218-JUN jun

*** CURRENTLY I ONLY RECOMMEND THAT FOR TESTING. I HAVE NOT YET TEST ALL PLATFORMS OR FUNCTIONS.

I've already looked at it but have no clue about it. I need to dig deeper into the platform files. And it will not be very easy.

But is it possible to do the same for DS3622 as for DS1621? Through imitation of dx517 expansion modules.
It's just that using the 3622 model in some cases is more preferable due to the fact that it supports more CPU cores ( can create more VMM machines) and support for 10G mellanox network cards and so on.

I have a test computer with two LSI controllers for 8 and 16 ports as well as many physical disks for tests

checking the etc/linuxrc.syno.impl, the SupportPortMappingV2 option is enabled  if kernel exports syno_hw_revision and supports it. Not an option for DS3622xs+ as /proc/sys/kernel/syno_hw_revision is empty on DS3622xs+ (for now).

if [ "$SupportPortMappingV2" = "yes" ]; then
        HW_REVISION=`cat /proc/sys/kernel/syno_hw_revision`

        if [ -n "${HW_REVISION}" ]; then
                DTBFILE="model_${HW_REVISION}.dtb"
        else
                DTBFILE="model.dtb"
        fi

        if [ -e /etc.defaults/${DTBFILE} ]; then
                cp -vf /etc.defaults/${DTBFILE} /var/run/model.dtb
        else
                cp -vf /etc.defaults/model.dtb /var/run/
        fi
fi

Now this leaves us with the SataPortMap/DiskIdxMap/sata_remap being the only option.

So far as i've seen, all syno controllers support 8 ports per HBA. Taken that into consideration you would only be able to do so if the HBA is the last in the sequence and SataPortMap is left empty. Also have in mind that SataPortMap is mainly used as a limiter and not an enabler.

If you do not specify SataPortMap and DiskIdxMap at all, what does that give you ? Can you please pass the block names from within DSM with

fdisk -l |grep Disk | grep sd

cat /proc/cmdline (remove serial and mac please)
