To be clear - we are not ready for the “final” 7.1 dsm build yet, right?

With the recent new and final release of 7.1 by Syno , i would wait at least a couple of days, as all the required changes take time to implement.

Mainly extensions, redpill, configs etc, testing of TCRP for every platform etc consumes too much time.

If you want to join the effort, drop a PM

Hi All,

I updated to DSM 7.1 RC today and on my primary host, lots of the applications needed to be updated.  I could update them all apart from docker, which only showed an uninstall option.  Rebooted and still the same.  Downloaded the package from Synology site and tried to install it in Chrome and received a message "your login is invalid, please login again".  Logged-out and back in again and tried the same and get the same error.  Also tried in Firefox and although the error is not thrown, the install process just sits there and doesn't do much.

I uninstall the package, but left the data in-place.  I attempted to find it again to re-install in the package center but it's not there !!  Rebooted serveral times and still don't see the package.  Check a VM running DSM 7.1 RC and can find and install the package fine.  Anyone come across this before and know how to resolve it ?

Tried these Docker Packages

Docker-x64-20.10.3-1305.spk -- DSM 7.1 RC

Docker-x64-20.10.3-1306.spk -- DSM 7.1

There's no apparent error messages, it just straight crashes when I access the web interface with the assigned IP to install the pat file. And the site returns with "Sorry, the page you are looking for is not found."

Known issue, you need to add @jumkey redpill.misc extension

Dont worry, its totally fixable :

please provide the following output from tinycore :

tce-load -iw scsi-5.10.3-tinycore64.tcz
lsscsi -Hv

lspci -nnq

Thanks.

this my result of command:

i tried to perform dsm 7 baremetal UEFI on old xpenology 6.0.
I have a problem on installation of DSM, i find the xpenology with "find.synology.com" but after accept eula the system perform HDDS error.
I have tested different combination of "sataportmap"/"diskidxmap" on user_config, but the result is different hdds number error means.
With  automap i have:"SataPortMap": "512","DiskIdxMap": "000C".
On mainboard her have 3 port SATA and onather pci with 6 port SATA.
I try:"SataPortMap": "36","DiskIdxMap": "0000" the resuilt is idem.

So based on your input i would go for

SataPortMap": "5" and "DiskIdxMap": "00"

Because you have 5 ports on:

00:1f.2 SATA controller [0106]: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family SATA AHCI Controller [8086:1c02] (rev 04)

and 12 ports on :

01:00.0 SATA controller [0106]: ASMedia Technology Inc. Device [1b21:0625] (rev 01)

SataPortMap is a decimal SINGLE digit number and it cannot be set to 12. Its good though that its the second HBA, you can limit the first one to 5 starting on 00  and leave the rest open.

You’ll have to roll back to 7.0.1 - remove the ssd cache from the volume - then attempt the postupdate process again - ensuring that you add the misc extension and whatever extensions are required for your box.

Correction, I was using ssd emulation to make SHR. SSD Cache wasn't made.

/usr/lib/modules-load.d/70-cpufreq-kernel.conf had the original acpi-cpufreq commented out with #. Tried with both pocopico redpill.misc and jumkey redpill.misc, able to install pat on Proxmox VM, after restarting, still not able to access the setup page in any form or way. At a loss here, and if there's no solution, might just downgrade back to 7.0.1-42218 and stay there

Demo of the current issue I'm facing after installation of PAT.

This command sequence is the final successful result !!!!
No editing is required, and the original version of the pocopico is used as it is.

./rploader.sh update now
./rploader.sh fullupgrade now
./rploader.sh clean now

./rploader.sh serialgen DS3622xs+
./rploader.sh identifyusb now
./rploader.sh satamap now

./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.0.1-42218
./rploader.sh clean now  (This part is important, erase old config.json made in 7.0.1 above.)

./rploader.sh download broadwellnk-7.1.0-42621
./rploader.sh ext broadwellnk-7.1.0-42621 add https://github.com/jumkey/redpill-load/raw/develop/redpill-misc/rpext-index.json
./rploader.sh build broadwellnk-7.1.0-42621
Do you know if the compatibility with extension tg3 with 7.1.0 been fixed?

More Testing

I ran thru the DS3622xs+ 7.1 script and it worked fine,  only problem it does not find my LSI 9207-8i.  I have an ssd and 2 hd connected to it.

It came up with a message "no drives found"

I added the extension  https://raw.githubusercontent.com/pocopico/rp-ext/master/mpt2sas/rpext-index.json

The extension ran fine and then I rebooted.

Still get a message no drives found

I have a flashed Dell H710 which I believe is the same as yours after the flash.

Its it possible to make tc use tg3 anyway?  I tried the force_add and it just says that tg3 is already added.  Is there a way disable the ext check for a short period of time?

Isn't there a function that prevents ext automatic detection from working in Build Action?
This is a new request and it would be better to make an official request to the issue of Pocopico Github.

I do dont think there is. Ill have to stick with 7.0.1 until he gets the extension updated.
