Removed by accident rc file

Recommended Posts

I'm not an expert on how DSM sorts out its file locations, partitions and raid, but I had another look using winscp at one of my boxes that has two shr1 volumes.

On that system, the 'top level' / has numerous sub folders, including /etc and /volume1 /volume2 etc. rc is within /etc. So does that mean its not part of the 'raid' but within the DSM O/S system partition that is installed on every drive?

I'm probably talking total rubbish but maybe if you can identify the DSM partition on the ubuntu mounted system you can find /etc?
