[소식] 시놀로지 NAS 운영체제 - DSM 5.2-5644 Update 5 릴리즈

시놀로지 DSM이 5.2-5644 Update 5로 업데이트 되었습니다. (2016/02/19)

 

우선적으로 제경우 Windows 10 Pro의 하이퍼V에서 업데이트를 시도했는데, 업데이트 자체에는 문제가 없더군요. 그런데 이번 업데이트는 저희와 같이 엑스프이놀로지 PC NAS에 해당하는 DS3615xs에는 해당사항이 없어 보입니다. 릴리즈 노트에 내용은 이렇습니다.

 

Updated Firewall filter policy to fix a security vulnerability caused by stack-based buffer overflow (CVE-2015-7547). This fix may impact read/write performance on the following models by no more than 15%, for which Synology is working on an enhancement in the future release.

버퍼 오버플로우 관련해서 방화벽 필터 보안 정책의 업데이트인데, 이에 따라서 위의 목록에 따른 시놀로지 모델들은 성능저하(15%)가 발생할 수 있다는 얘기네요.
