VMWare DSM access to the windows host Shares

Hi all

 

Maybe this is dump question

 

So what i need is i will create xpenology in VMware or Virtualbox as example i create a new VM with a HDD 100GB --> all is perfect running.

Now i need that the DSM created Virtual in Virtual BOX or VMware has access to the space from the windows host is this possible ?

Background is i need much space for DSM in the VM 24 TB or what is the best create a VM with 24 TB space ?

access via cifs/nfs is ok, but video/audio station will not index from those shares.
