Now, please post your SSD infomration on this topic, I will try to summary and build up in my next release. Please check your SSD model in BIOS menu, ex: Crucial M4 128GB will show as "M4-CT128M4SSD2" in BIOS HDD information page or during POST. Synology started to do some "handle" on SSD and SAS HDD in script and binary files from 2668 build. So If I don't wan't to buy new SSD I would like to get arround this limitation. Any Idea? I know this is by design but also the Synology SW wasn't designed to run on PC I guess the limitation is in some function, which requires two disks and the same disks. The limitation fixed inside some source code, maybe need to review the source code and recompiler it then have chance to remove it. But... where is the source code for this limitation? My idea is use XPEnoloy in a virtual environment and use virtual disks on SSD storage to enable the caching. The problem is that the virtual disks aren't detected as SSD. So, please, can you provide the output of the command (text and exit code) with a REAL SSD disk? $ synodisk --isssd /dev/sdX I'll apreciate the feedback! Thank you!
