CD Boot Image

I am currently using the 2668++ repack (1.3a) and it generally works well for me. However, I am completely inexperienced with Linux and don't know if what I want to do is possible. I am running XPEnology on an old PC I had laying around and I would like to boot it from the CD-Rom rather than from a USB. Is there a way to burn/convert the .img file into a format that is suitable for a bootable CD-Rom? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I don't think it is possible, at least not without a lot of hacking around.

The USB image uses GRUB, with a specific partition layout that a disk cannot reproduce. The only occasion I witnessed a multi-partition CD was a long time ago, and on an Apple computer (I would rather not say Mac, as it was waaaaay before the actual Mac era). Back then Apple's OS detected the disks as SCSI devices, and such, it was possible to write two or more partitions on them. But it did not really work with Windows or Linux unfortunately.
