There are maximum # of threads on each platform which may affect your decision making. 1 Intel core with hyperthread = 2 threads in DSM. The best performance on high-core systems is to disable hyperthreading altogether and just use the maximum number of cores supported by your platform. For example, with an 8-core processor, disabling hyperthreading allows all 8 cores to be used on DS918+ and DS3615xs, which is faster than only using 4 cores with HT. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
