asheenlevrai Posted October 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted October 19, 2021 Hi I'd like to do a clean install on a xpen that was already setup. I re-burnt the USB loader but I get now only the option to recover my setup (like after RMA of a Syno device). Should I just format all my disks first? Or is there a quicker way to achieve a clean reinstall? Thanks -a-
Kamele0N Posted October 19, 2021 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2021 For a clean install yes you have to format discs too.... And (I am not 105% sure for that one) you also have to "re-burn" your usb stick...because its content get changed after every setup attempt you make....because it starts some processes and those also changes your syno image on your usb stick....
flyride Posted October 19, 2021 Share #3 Posted October 19, 2021 Just deleting the partition structures on the disks is adequate. No need for a full format.
