VirtualBox Package does not work since XPEnoboot 5.2-5644.1

Hi XPEnology Team,

first thank you very much for your hard work.

 

I have a problem since the version XPEnoboot 5.2-5644.1 with the VirtualBox Package (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3497).

I can´t run virtual machines. If i change the boot loader to older than 5.2-5644.1 it works very good.

 

I have errors in the kern.log and in the messages, some about IPv6:

BUG: unable to handle kernel paging request at 00000000c037f740

 

Do you have any idea or can help me to fix this?

I have compiled the VirtualBox modules with the new XPEnoboot but does not help.

It´s not working for me, have you start a VM?

With DSM 5.2-5644 Update 2 and XPEnoboot 5.2-5592.2 x64 it´s working but not with XPEnoboot 5.2-5644.1/4 x64.

how can you get the XPEnoboot 5.2-5592.2 to work with DSM 5.2-5644 Update 2 ? I have a bare metal set up, booting Xpenology from the USB drive. If I can just write another USB drive with XPEnoboot 5.2-5592.2 and just start the NAS, I may go with that route as I need my Virtual machines to work.

Yes, on my hardware the DSM 5.2-5644 Update 2 with XPEnoboot 5.2-5592.2 x64 and VirtualBox works.

 

On DSM 5.2-5644 Update 2 with XPEnoboot 5.2-5644.1/4 x64 the VirtualBox does not work.

Good to hear that. I just installed DSM 5.2-5592.4 with XPEnoboot 5.2-5592.2 and phpVirtualBox 4.3.30.1 (from xpenology.me). On top I setup first MineOS VM and it works after a little bit of twists. No finding enough reasons to upgrade DSM though.
