Problems with initialize the harddrives

Hi Everyone,

 

I have install the DSM 5.2 on a Precision WorkStation R5500.

That works but when i try to initialize the hard drive, the software say's: check your network settings?

Anyone here with the same problem ? and maybe with a solution ?

 

I Have also try reserve my ip .. that works for the update, but not for the initializing from my HD's ?

Dont know which Version you are installing, but if its 5.2-5644 you have to choose the correct Pat file!

Same problem here!!!

Tried the 5644 version.

 

Now the weird thing.

I just did a fresh install on bare metal for the 5592 version with 5592 XPEnoboot and everything was OK.

The volume was created correctly.

 

It seems that is not possible to do a fresh install directly on 5644 version.

 

 

WEIRD THING IS THAT 2 OF MY HDDs ARE NOW WITH A PASSWORD ON HDD BOOT!!!

I'm not sure what caused this, as my BIOS do not have option to set HDD password.

Maybe Synology is attacking us now?

The a bug in 5644 its currently not possible to create volumes.

No, I was wrong, it is a Synology issue. Secure erase locks the drives.
