linuxandroid Posted December 1, 2015 Author Share #2 Posted December 1, 2015 any news? I have some tests for this with vmware and 320G USB HDD. 1. format 320G as NTFS, copy some files into it, plug it into DS3612xs. found HDD and mount as NTFS, but data is lost. 2. format 320G as EXFAT, copy some files into it, plug it into DS3612xs, found HDD, but not mount, no supoort EXFAT. 3. format 10G part of 320G as FAT32, copy some files into it, plug it into DS3612xs, found HDD and mount as FAT32, data is OK. 4. format 10G part of 320G as NTFS, copy some files into it, plug it into DS3612xs, found HDD and mount as NTFS, data is OK. 5. format 320G as EXT4, copy some files into it, plug it into DS3612xs, found HDD and mount as EXT4, but data is lost. 6. format 320G as EXT3, copy some files into it, plug it into DS3612xs, found HDD and mount as EXT3, data is OK. from thtat, NTFS and EXT4 not good in compatibility. FAT32 and EXT3 is good for DS3612xs. Can we fix this to get best in compatiblity for USB HDD? any ideal will be appreciated.
