best74 Posted November 26, 2015 Share #26 Posted November 26, 2015 Hi, anyone tried to install on the new (ish) intel embedded N3150/N3700 boards? Is it just as compatible as Q1900 boards?

0 abced Posted March 18, 2016 Share #29 Posted March 18, 2016 I used XPEnoboot DS3615xs5.2-5644.5 with DSM_5.2-5644 to install first. And after installation I did upgrade using DSM_5.2-5644 Update-5. I downloaded everything from xpenology.me.
0 huanan Posted March 18, 2016 Share #30 Posted March 18, 2016 sorry to tell you guys. I just reverted to Windows 10 as I am quite sure N3700 is not full compatible as follows: 1. the disk is not idle although it logs "internal hard disk wake up from hibernation". Proof: the temp is higher than that of windows. 2. CPU is running at normal speed always. Not speedstep or slow down. Proof: Win10 power consumption (idle with sleep and hibernation disabled) is 15w whereas DSM 5.2-5644 update 5 is 35w. Both are running on 1xSSD+1x4T HD+1x2T HD. The most interesting thing was when both were working on lan backup, they consumed the almost the same power:35~40w.
0 abced Posted March 18, 2016 Share #31 Posted March 18, 2016 1. If it said it was sleeping, then it was sleeping. Go and touch it to check, if that's true. 2. Go in BIOS and change your fan settings. Default is Full speed, so yeah consumption is higher.
0 MrFloppy Posted March 18, 2016 Share #32 Posted March 18, 2016 It's a pity to hear that this motherboard has these problems with XPEnology.
0 jimmy Posted March 18, 2016 Share #33 Posted March 18, 2016 I used xpenology.me to download booter and firmware from. I load and update fine. Thanks abced. Problem I see with asrock N3700-itx motherboard is: CPU run 1.6ghz constant no sleep, no max. WOL don't work. Harddisk sleep mode working fine. 0 abced Posted March 19, 2016 Share #34 Posted March 19, 2016 There's currently no driver for CPU boost on new processors, so it's running at base frequency all the time. Hopefully, it will be added in the future. Are you sure WOL is not working? You have to enable it in BIOS (it's disabled by default) and in DSM. 0 AlexLeon Posted March 19, 2016 Share #35 Posted March 19, 2016 WOL is working for me. (AsRock N3150-ITX)
0 mazzo91 Posted March 19, 2016 Share #36 Posted March 19, 2016 WOL is working for me. (AsRock N3700-ITX) alsp disk sleep work the only problem is cpu max speed
0 felix_w Posted June 15, 2016 Share #37 Posted June 15, 2016 WOL and HDD Hibernation also work for me (ASRock N3700-ITX). Problem is that CPU does not work in Overboost speed & does not lower frequency when idle. EDIT: As for the second matter, i resolved by applying CPU Throttle Script from this tutorial
