V7 upgrade 4 running on Intel Server board using RedPill

Hi everyone, can someone help me please?

I had Jun loader on dsm 6, and now I want to migrate to redpill 7.

So, I follow upgrade instructions, but SynologyAssistant show status "Not Installed" instead migratable.

Sata settings in grub I took from Jun, cause autodetect works wrong for me.

So I have motherboard with 6 sata + 2 sata on separate chip (Asmedia?) + HBA LSI with 4 ports.

All together 12 drives.

For this LSI autodetect show only 2 ports available.

And my settings worked from Jun: 

SataPortMap=624

DiskIdxMap=0C

SasIdxMap=0

Installing DS918+ (was the same)

Tried different versions (7.0-7.1)

not an expert on this but it might be your diskidxmap is not detected properly, this is a good description of the logic, (xlate from chinese)

Thanks for answer, it looks correct, changed diskidxmap, but anything changed... Will repost to main thread.

hi. Is there a tutorial for updating juns 1.04b-DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3 (3617xs) to DSM 7? It has 40tb of data. Can I provide lossless migration?

and I migrated my systems from 6 to 7 without issues. what you should do is a full hardware compatability test first, disconnect your array, use a spare hdd and create a tcrp loader, install v7. if that works, (network, sata ports all recognised) erase hdd install v6, then boot with your tcrp loader and check you can 'migrate'  from 6 to 7 via finder. you should have a full backup anyway otherwise its a risk - 'raid is not a backup'

I am try to install DSM 7.1.0-42661 with RedPill 0.9.2.5 image on proxmox server. After successfully boot the loader and find the device on network, an error message prevent to finish installation (i attached screenshot).

 

Failed to install DSM. Failed to install the file. The file is probably corrupted.

 

Can anyone help me to solve this issue? I have tried many times to build this with no success.

If the OP comes back please contact me and I'll unlock this thread. For now I don't see the point in leaving this thread open for people to post irrelevant content. There a 2 functional loaders out there.
