Was you able to install DS3617xs?
i was not able too on baremetal Gen8

i have only changed the loader.
install was already done on the test VM. I use it on Proxmox.

I will test a fresh install later and if it works, i switch from 3615xs to 3617xs the real VM.

Good luck, i wasn't able to install DS3617xs from tinycore , into a new Gen8, but i had luck with DS3622.

Were you able to add additional HDDs? For any reason mine are not properly detected (Proxmox, G8, 3615xs). I can't create volumes/some of them don't appear in the Storage panel.

I have installed DS3617xs on a fresh VM and it works, with the ds3617xs_701-42218u2 Loader. Don't need to deactivate the internet connection.

I use redpill-helper, not tinycore.

The migration from 3615xs to 3617xs works without a problem on my real Proxmox VM.

Yes, no problems here. I have one virtual Disk and 4 passthrough Disks. 2 Volumes and many Shared Folders.

Wow, that sounds amazing! Can you please give us some inputs? Maybe you can share your Proxmox VM config.

Where did you get ds3617xs_701-42218u2 loader?

Thanks!

Do you confirm this Proxmox settings is like ESXi RDM ?

Do you have real SMART data inside DSM ? I don't think so, but just to confirm.

Cool! Thanks. I'll try that one. Proxmox is under HP Gen8, right?

This is nuts!

Why does the ixgbe extension keep trying to download and install itself multiple times, only to fail and kill the build?

EDIT: broadwellnk-7.0.1-42218 DS3622xs+

I'm using the 4.5 version of the img file and ran ./rploader update now to grab all the newest scripts.

The extension file is in the default build now, right?

Can I enter something in the user_config.json file or elsewhere to manually exclude this from trying to load?

Thanks

EDIT 2: I think I might've posted this in the wrong place. sorry

Hello,

how do I find out the PID and VID on my Gen9 ESXI server?

I would like to fully virtualize the Xpenology in SATA / Boot IDE mode (no usb stick) ?

It's already running, but crashes "56% bug" when the system is in installation mode. I think this has something to do with the VID PID as I haven't adjusted that one..

Thanks for help

*or did I understand correctly that it would have to be the PID / VID of my hard disk controller then?

For EsXi you dont need PID/VID if you use SATA boot

ah, ok, thanks, so i leave it standard

but why then does it break off the *,pat installation at 55%? Some people here had the error, what could it be in my case, any suggestions?

Which type?
try to use or DS3615xs or DS3622xs+, it seems that DS3617xs doesn't work

Boot HDD on SATA 0:0
Drive HDD on SATA 1:0

mine is a ds3617xs

when I try SATA as boot device it doesn't work... it only loads when I select IDE as Boot Controller, otherwise it says the "prepared image isn't registered"
