You can try using other tools, download the corresponding files and try again.

I retested the compilation of six versions of the two platforms yesterday, and they are all available.

I have been following this thread from the start and big thanks to @ThorGroup , @haydibe , @pocopico , @jumkey and others !

@RedwinX

Appreciate your efforts to have synology publish the kernel sources for v.7.0.1

I can tell you that I have tried in the past to have synology publish genuine kernel sources on sourceforge and that they have not done so alltough they are obliged to do so according to the linux gpl. I suspect their reason for not publishing or publishing incomplete non-compiling sources is to protect their business and prevent projects like RP to be succesfull as it will make it possible to run their software on generic hw. BTW If you have some funds to spare you could off course take legal action...

WoW !! Have the answer from synology, they will upload the GPL sources on SourceForge ASAP !! Wait & see !!

They said the global deploy of 7.0.1 is not finished now, and we just have to wait 1 or 2 week to have the kernel sources :)

You must use the @pocopicodriver. because there is a bug with the stock driver. You will have for sure a kernel panic. Just add the extension on your user_config.json

I you must use other driver and have no space left, you can use a custom img with a larger 1st partition. I already gave the method, or you can use repo forked with the image builded

Since the modules are now debug stripped, i no more expect to run out of space. At least when you are conservative with the extensions. One image cannot fit all purposes.

Ahahahahah.

Is there solution?

Try with an old version of redpill (before the extention add). Same pb as you. Have recompiled an img with the old version, and works fine. With help of @pocopico, He saw that where an extension failed to load, it fallback to install mode. Not sure if it's your pb, but you can try with the old version, it solved many pb.

The NAS of my friend has exactly the same pb has you. Pocopico give us the combo SataPortMap and DiskIdxMap, but nothing worked. Just use an old img builded without extention (old version of redpill) works at the 1st try :)

I made the bsp and config files of the new pat file for DS3615xs

(I will make the bsp and config files of ds918+ later today)

Welcome to test (I have not tested usability,If you can’t boot it, please leave a message to me!)

And you can download the old pat of DS3615xs from here:https://share.llilii.cn/xpenology/pat/dsm7.0.1-42218/DSM_DS3615xs_42218_OLD.pat

So far, only the strip --strip-debug works for the compiled modules. All other tries failed.

So i have stripped the modules, recreated the extensions and push them again to the repository. You can try and let me know

Thanks @pocopico

Sorry for the late reply.

May I ask you to use CONFIG_VIRTIO_PCI_LEGACY=y when you make virtio.ko and virtio_pci.ko ?

My virtio driver cannot be recognized by your driver without that option.

I add configs files on redpill-load for DS918+ on my github develop branch

https://github.com/jimmyGALLAND/redpill-load/tree/develop

It seems works.

Thx @unknown-o

This is a possible add content in global_config.json of redpill-tool-chain

hi,

those that are on the 7.0.1, do you experiment issue with hyperbackup?

i didnt had issue with the 6.2 and now, the backup can't be resume or finished as it remains stuck at 99% 😤

so i was ready to go to the 7.0.1-42218 to see if related to my current version.

it seems that hyperbackup doesnt like to backup plex folder...by unchecking them -> successful backup

will still move to next version during the week.

Sorry for the late reply.

May I ask you to use CONFIG_VIRTIO_PCI_LEGACY=y when you make virtio.ko and virtio_pci.ko ?

My virtio driver cannot be recognized by your driver without that option

Can you please remind me the platform ? DS918 or DS3615 ?
