5.2 install. Was working fine now I have crashed disk

I have had this setup running a while.

 

I physical 5tb hard drive running on a Lenovo desktop, using virtual box. The iso is mounted to virtual optical drive. I have given the van 4 vhds

 

When I first set this up, I had one vhd (volume1).

 

 

The reason why I say I think is because I am confused on how this is all actually working.

 

Upon initial setup did it install dsm on volume 1?

 

If so why do I need the have iso mounted.

 

How can I move the data from that volume to another volume and then delete that vhd /volume ?
