cloud sync с USB диска

Люди не подкажете, как обойти ограничение на создание папки синхронизации на USB диске с dropbox? У меня родная железка, просто диски в системе под завязку, а на дополнительные слотов нету. Могу только USB подцепить.

Остановить пакет. Сделать симлинк

ln -s /volumeUSB1/usbshare/папка /volume1/НазваниеШары/папка

запустить пакет

Делать такие штуки на USB HDD не безопасно. Винт будет постоянно разгонятся и потом засыпать. Чем чаще старт/стоп тем быстрее умрет. Зависит от частоты синхронизации с дропбоксом. Если принудительно не давать засыпать диску - может перегреться.

По поводу USB HDD и температуры. Не в целях поспорить, а просто альтернативные иллюстрации.

Я заставил себя думать что HDD это расходники. И в ожидании 3tb сложилось так, что у меня работают два usb hdd.

500 gb - трудится над торрентами около трех лет (с перерывами). 1 tb раздает видио (16 часов в день) пол года.

Для сравнения системный 650 GB (раньше трудился в ноуте).

В комнате температура 24C.

Системный 640GB sata 190 Airflow_Temperature_Cel 30 (Min/Max 27/34)

В общем криминала не вижу. Хотя пуска,стоп (в отличии от нагрузке с облачной синхронизацией) они делают мало. Скорее работают постоянно под небольшой нагрузкой.

PS: Не призываю всех юзать USB HDD. Мне их просто подарили и гарантия...
