NeoID Posted September 24, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 24, 2015 What do you mean? Can you provide a screenshot? If you add a disk you should be prompted to grow the volume.
manfriday Posted September 24, 2015 Share #3 Posted September 24, 2015 Slightly different problem here, running DSM 5.1-5022 Update 5 with 2 x 4TB in SHR RAID, added ST50000DM00 (5TB) and nothing. Drive was tested with HD tune Pro prior to install and all was fine. Any input appreciated!
manfriday Posted September 24, 2015 Share #4 Posted September 24, 2015 Answering my own post. Rebooted DSM and drive found and now expanding. Expect this will take quite some time
NeoID Posted September 25, 2015 Share #5 Posted September 25, 2015 Answering my own post. Rebooted DSM and drive found and now expanding. Expect this will take quite some time Please tell us if the expanding works, I had to do it manually using: http://idmedia.no/general/expand-volume ... esnt-want/
manfriday Posted September 25, 2015 Share #6 Posted September 25, 2015 Please tell us if the expanding works, I had to do it manually using: http://idmedia.no/general/expand-volume ... esnt-want/ Initialization took about 8-10mins Expansion started and has been running about 20 hours as of this post and so far at 25.68% System continues to work without issue and expansion is consistent in progress. I have had issues in the past on an 4.3 system where expansion completed but volume size did not change. Only another 60hpurs to go before we see? (indeed NeoID you helped me to correct that, thanks again)
