elmuziko Posted September 22, 2015 Share #1 Posted September 22, 2015 Is it possible? I'm currently using all 4 on the main board and the 5th is an SSD drive for a download/unpacking cache. I've tried to use it before but it kicks the extra drive after a while though I suspect this is down to not having the motherboard settings correct (which I believe they are now). Happy to use ESATA if this will work too, anyone have any thoughts or tried this? Thanks in advance
elmuziko Posted October 1, 2015 Author Share #2 Posted October 1, 2015 In answer to my own question, yes it can be done using the 5th bay. Still can't get the eSATA to work for the life of me but at least the 5th bay is doing it's thing. If anyone has any directions or help on how to bring the eSATA to life, please let me know. berwhale Posted October 1, 2015 Share #3 Posted October 1, 2015 Is this in an HP Microserver? If so, there are some specific changes you need to make to the BIOS to get this working. I used to have 6 drives in my N36L, 4 in the cages and 2 in the ODD bay (one connected to ODD SATA, the other to the eSATA).
