Lzzzzzz Posted April 23, 2021 Share #1 Posted April 23, 2021 hi all I have upgraded my N40L to 6.2.3 recently and trying to run a virtual machine with VM manager. I created a VM with basic settings: 1 cpu&1G RAM. but everything I click on poweron, it just tell me "Failed to power on the virtual machine %name%". my N40L have 8G ram, BIOS set to default with exception of "disable C1E support". any folks could get VMs up running with this setup? regards, Lz
Dfds Posted April 23, 2021 Share #2 Posted April 23, 2021 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but it’s not going to work as the N40L has an AMD CPU, VMM requires an Intel CPU.
jarugut Posted April 23, 2021 Share #3 Posted April 23, 2021 if you migrate your N40L from DS3617xs to DS3615 (Bromolow) you can use PHPVirtualbox to run vms. Like Dfds says with your processor the VMM not works.
