The latest update for Perl on your Synology/XPEnology box will "kill" the joy. Synology "warned" us a year (?) ago, that the support for LMS (Logitech Media Server), the "hub" in the Squeezebox system would be cancelled. And now, with the latest update of Perl, even the unoficcial builds of LMS stops working. If your setup allows Perl to autoupdate, your server will fail to do its job What you then must do, is to 1 - uninstall LMS 2- uninstall Perl 3- download and install old Perl 4 - make sure autoupdate for Perl is disabled 5- download and install LMS Edit: Extra advice: - backup : /volume1/@appstore/SqueezeCenter/prefs/ - restore folder after LMS install - this will bring back Favorites & skip the "Configuration" wizard to restore settings.
