iruindegi Posted August 31, 2015 Share #1 Posted August 31, 2015 Hi, I bought a Microserver g8 some days ago and now I´ve got it with a Esxi installed and 2 VM: 1 debian and 2 XPnology. Now I added a 2Tb WD Green disk to the server, created and array in the controller and I want this disk to be used by Xpnology (more will come in the future). How or witch is the best way to add disk disk to Xpnology? Do I need to create a new Virtual Disk in the VM with the disk size? thanks in advance
billat29 Posted September 1, 2015 Share #2 Posted September 1, 2015 You can create a VMDK on the disk you have added. But for best performance you can pass the drive through via Raw Device Mapping (RDM). Given that you have created it as part of an array, I don't know whether you would now need to pass the whole array through or just the drive. The following guide may help: http://blog.davidwarburton.net/2010/10/ ... -for-esxi/
