MrDwight Posted March 19, 2021 Share #1 Posted March 19, 2021 Hi all! Did a fresh install of DSM 6.2.3-25426 Update 3 with JUN'S LOADER v1.03b - DS3615xs on N40L All seems to be working, but while connected to OpenVPN (connect) can't access NAS and other LAN devices. While using OpenVPN GUI I can access NAS and other LAN devices. Any ideas?

bearcat Posted March 23, 2021 Share #3 Posted March 23, 2021 @MrDwight Can you fill in some more details? What is connected to OpenVPN (connect)? NAS, PC? How is your network connected? Is your N36L the OpenVPN server, or is it a client? Is the problem locally or remote? . . and so on.
MrDwight Posted March 26, 2021 Author Share #4 Posted March 26, 2021 Hi, PC (windows, mac) and phone are connected to OpenVPN. N36L is the VPN server. So, when I'm connected to VPN on either PC, MAC or phone (remotely, over 4G etc.) I can't connect to local network (where the N36L is) can't connect to NAS's IP either. Access local LAN is ticked in OpenVPN server. The workaround was to use OpenVPN GUI on PC, homebrew installed open VPN on mac. I think I managed to mess something up... But as there was no workaround for the phone, I did another fresh install on another machine and now everything works as it should. Thank for your input @bearcat
bearcat Posted March 27, 2021 Share #5 Posted March 27, 2021 Same usecase as I have for my setup, and if I remember correct, I had the same problem the first time I set it up Was it a line to edit in the .ovpn file ? don't remember right now. Using the OpenVPN GUI/Apps on PC's and Android phone/tablet with no problem now
MrDwight Posted April 9, 2021 Author Share #6 Posted April 9, 2021 Same issue again When connecting from OpenVPN GUI application everything works. When connecting from OpenVPN connect application I can´t access LAN (router, NAS etc.) Both using the same VPN config. file...

I'm using the same config file on different clients, with the DNS pointing to my (PiHole) "local" DNS on my LAN. And the default gateway pointing to my LAN's default gateway. MrDwight Posted April 14, 2021 Author Share #8 Posted April 14, 2021 Hi, Last time I did a fresh install on another machine, so I did not figure it out With the new machine everything worked fine at first, but then failed to connect to Synology LAN again. Maybe I need to edit something in vpnconfig file... dunno
