djelusion Posted August 16, 2015 #1 Posted August 16, 2015 so lately I was copying some files over and then wham everything went to a halt file transfer wise. checked resource monitor I noticed iScSi / volume is at 100% utilization. I did a smart test everything seems to be ok no issues with the drives. I did a shutdown and a few minutes after booting the system is back at where it was. It couldn't even do a parity check yesterday. Looks like the server got stuck at 0.43% I will have to shut it down due to its unresponsiveness im on DSM 5.2 5592.1
lobic Posted August 17, 2015 #2 Posted August 17, 2015 the same problem here (on xpenology 5592u2 and on original DS414 (!), both using latest dsm), after changing from RAID5 to RAID10 seems to be OK, well i know this is not a solution... btw http://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic ... 4&t=103332 or http://forum.synology.com/enu/viewtopic ... 19&t=83280
lobic Posted August 20, 2015 #3 Posted August 20, 2015 well, after update to XPE 5.2 5592 u3 ( btw i have to reboot 2x to access volume again ) still very high usage volume/iscsi
djelusion Posted September 4, 2015 Author #4 Posted September 4, 2015 sorry for the delay but yup that stupid thing is what makes my nas slow sad thing is its a custom built box with a nice asus board i3 4130t and 16GB of ram. Sucks to see the nas so cripled my celeron ex490 with 2gb ram runs circles around this box wish there was something I could do. Running the same version as you.
