sstyle Posted August 12, 2015 #1 Posted August 12, 2015 Hi! Now I have a Synology DS110J with last firmware. It is very old and not powerful device. So I wish to install a xpenology on a virtual machine. Is it possible to connect my HDD from original synology to the virtual machine without data loss? p.s. can I use a MAC and serial from my old device or should generate a new one?

sstyle Posted August 13, 2015 Author #3 Posted August 13, 2015 Tried to do that. Create VMDK with raw access. Add to config, load in install/upgrade mode but it write that config is lost and ask me for make a new install instead migration.
