New version for the 4.1++ repack

v1.1

The .config file is included in kernel

USB

USB_OHCI_HCD (thanks totalnas for the tip)

As usual give feedbacks

Great!

I hope other releases of 4.2 will include them also.

I suggest that ALL developers share the ".config" file of different releases. I feel that the community needs to try divide the efforts in:

1) Kernel patching: new drivers, USB VID:PID hack, etc.

2) BIOS hacking: SYNOBIOS modding.

3) Script improvements: like UPS, LVM, SSD hack or others.

4) Binary releases: boot IMG and PAT file for plainPC, Microserver, ESX, VirtualBOX, etc.

Peharps, after this division someone can starting to compile non-x86 versions.

TN.

I totaly agree with you totalnas

I found a bug in my repack about usb detection preventing usb external drive to mount in DSM and system to restart/shutdown correctly.

I find the fix (some modules was not compiled correctly), and now it's working great.

The usb boot stick is also detected as USB and not like hard drive. I think this will fix the grub error when install.

Wait and see...

PS: If someone have anything to add/fix please tell me

No because synology doesn't post the correct sources for the 4.2 branch.

They announce DSM 4.3, I think in few weeks we have what we need

Well my friend, I think we will have to wait for those sources (personal opinion) or, they take the easy way and they publish the first versions of the 4.3 DSM in GPL in order for us to test for them  . This is what i would do if i would be Syno. :ugeek:
