Akhlan Posted June 21, 2013 #1 Posted June 21, 2013 Hi, curently I use these hardwares - Asus Rampage Formula - 1 SSD for system (Debian 7.0) and 5 HDD WD 3To Red - 4 Go of RAM but unable to install XPE !!!! Directly or under virtualbox, same issues, my bios change (time, speed fan, ...) after the first reboot of XPE and during installation, i have this error message "Le service Telnet de DiskStation est activé pour la détermination d'erreurs. Veuillez configurer votre routeur pour transmettre le port 23 vers le DiskStation ..." who appears... Unable to continue... I'm not alone with these problem and for the moment, it doesn't seem to be any solution... I think buy new hardawre... ASRock FM2A85X-ITX - 94,95 € (the network will be replace by a "Intel® PRO/1000 PT Desktop Adapter" chipset 82572GI and 2 ports) G.Skill RipJaws X Series 8 Go (2x 4Go) DDR3 2133 MHz CL9 - 84,65 € - no need for a 32 bit system but good value/price... AMD A6-6400K (3.9 GHz) Black Edition - 72,94 € (TDP 65W) Prolimatech Samuel 17 - 44,90 € Do you think this hardware will be compatible with XPE ? Rgds Akhlan
Akhlan Posted June 23, 2013 Author #2 Posted June 23, 2013 yop... This hardware should be compatible ???
totalnas Posted June 27, 2013 #4 Posted June 27, 2013 For a NAS your don't need a huge CPU. Best price/performance relation is: HP N54L + 2x8GB DDR3 + 4 SATA HD + 1 SSD + XPEnology
Schnapps Posted July 13, 2013 #6 Posted July 13, 2013 too late, hardware already ordered Hi mate, Did your config was delivered? We want to see your feedback. What DSM version are you using and what issues do you have with it? Cheers!
Akhlan Posted July 13, 2013 Author #7 Posted July 13, 2013 not work yet, I have issues when I install XPE under virtualbox... I'll give you informations last week, working at this moment
Schnapps Posted July 13, 2013 #8 Posted July 13, 2013 but you're not running it natively on your hardware? huh... why?
Akhlan Posted July 13, 2013 Author #9 Posted July 13, 2013 Because my next project will be build a "SARAH" domotic station under virtualbox too... Like that, just one server
