USB must remain connected. It is used for each boot and for upgrades. I don't see a question regarding SSD vs HDD. SATA SSDs are fully supported. DSM on XPenology and DSM on regular Synology are fully interoperable. Also aside from licensing limits, there are no issues running apps, packages, etc on DSM on XPenology Quote Link to post Share on other sites
