htc2010 Posted January 3, 2021 Share #1 Posted January 3, 2021 Greetings, everyone! From http://xpenology.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=10921 - it looks like people were able to get a Dell PowerEdge to work with Jun's loader for DSM 6.0.1 using a PERC 6i RAID card. By chance, does anyone know if a similar PowerEdge, a T110, might work with a PERC S300 card and onboard NIC (broadcom chipset)? Second question is I'd like to remove my current DVR and use this system instead since the Surveillance Station is soooo much better, but how would licensing for the cameras work? How many come free and is it possible to buy licenses for an Xpenology build?

htc2010 Posted January 3, 2021 Author Share #3 Posted January 3, 2021 @IG-88, thank you so much for the VERY thorough response. I guess if that's the case, I might see if I can get my hands on my original Synology server to do a proper surveillance station. The server is probably best suited for something else at this time.
