Hi friends, recently i upgraded my HP gen7 bare metal from 5.1 to 5.2 using xpenoboot XPEnoboot_DS3615xs_5.2-5565.2.img

with DSM_DS3615xs_5565.pat image, everything went well, i have all my settings, but i have some problem about ISCSI, defined one new ISCSI lun, connected to my winpc, launch disk admin he say new drive detected and propose me to initialize in mbr or in GPT both settings went wrong with incorrect function claimed from disk admin.

DMESG show this

iSCSI: EXT_ERR: ejh_record_start(00455) last_flush_errno(-30)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: __epio_alloc_multi(05139) epsys_jnl_record_start error(-13)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: epio_alloc_multi(05242) __epio_alloc_multi error(-13), lea(0), count(1)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: epio_alloc_multi_by_loff(05281) epio_alloc_multi error(-13), lea(0), le_count(1)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: __epio_writev(05345) epio_alloc_multi_by_loff error(-13), pos(0), count(512)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: epio_writev(05535) __epio_writev error(-13)
iSCSI: iSCSI: LUN[/volume2/@iSCSITrg/iSCSI_2_Extent_VM-Store_000], opcode[2a], error(-13), pos(0)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: ejh_record_start(00455) last_flush_errno(-30)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: __epio_alloc_multi(05139) epsys_jnl_record_start error(-13)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: epio_alloc_multi(05242) __epio_alloc_multi error(-13), lea(0), count(1)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: epio_alloc_multi_by_loff(05281) epio_alloc_multi error(-13), lea(0), le_count(1)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: __epio_writev(05345) epio_alloc_multi_by_loff error(-13), pos(0), count(512)
iSCSI: EXT_ERR: epio_writev(05535) __epio_writev error(-13)
iSCSI: iSCSI: LUN[/volume2/@iSCSITrg/iSCSI_2_Extent_VM-Store_000], opcode[2a], error(-13), pos(0)

But i can connect LUN already present on NAS generated with DSM 5.1

Many thanks

If you have more than 1 network adapter in nas and you are using only one, you have to assign a fake ip address on the disconnected adapter, if you leave alone the configuration it prevents the use of ISCSI due to setting apipa IP on disconnected adapter ( 169.x.x.x)

It's' enough assign a ip address like 172.16.20.30 ( invented )
