berwhale Posted May 12, 2015 #5 Posted May 12, 2015 Just go to Update & Restore under Control Panel, you will see the update Are you suggesting that this new version can be installed via the standard Synology update process? Quote
valver Posted May 12, 2015 #6 Posted May 12, 2015 Yes, I see an update badge on my Diskstation for Control Panel, prompting me on the availability of 5.2 (5565) now. I'm just waiting for someone brave to try it first, and report back on if it works OK. Quote
edwin.dekker Posted May 12, 2015 #7 Posted May 12, 2015 Just tried it and I am having problems now connecting to the nas. Got following message from SMTP deamon: The UPS connected to nas05 has reached low battery. All services are shut down. The services will be restarted once the UPS is recovered...... No UPS is connected however. I am still able to login to the build-in shell Quote

Trantor Posted May 12, 2015 #11 Posted May 12, 2015 Don't update to 5.2 yet, you will break your XPEnology setup. DMS 5.2 has a different kernel version than 5.1 so the dev team have lots of work in order to get it working. Quote
