Asus H81I-PLUS crash

Recommended Posts

Hi, i tried an h200 P19 but xpenoboot freeze while loading an usb3 driver module (xhci_hcd)... using a LSI 9240-8i reflashed in 9211-8i P19 works but if i enable SSH network stops (can from the console pint the local ip and hostname but cannot ping the gateway). same if i copy from the raid 5 (8x4tb hitachi nas) to the raid 5, it loose the ping from my desktop to the nas straight away, while i can copy from and to the nas without issues....

Motherboard: Asus H81I-PLUS (can somebody with the same motherboard post their dmesg log "dmesg > /volume1/video/dmesg.txt")

2x4GB ram crucial (tried with a single dimm, same thing)

Case: NSC-800

PSU: Seasonic 250w flex atx + adaptor plate

Controller: LSI 9240-8i + 40mm fan + sata to fan connector

Dunno what to do... What's the best way to troubleshoot? tried 3 different usb keys as i thought they were defective...

i played with dmesg and managed to not use dummy sata ports using internalportcfg and enable bios settings, dmesg seemed better but the issue is still present... I tried including testmem in syslinux menu but it can't load com32 file (not com32r so prob 3.x version but not 4+)

Since ssh give the same ping no longer working (box can ping itself by ip and name but no more network ping works) i can only assume the realtek 8168 driver crash, but the asus h81i-plus uses RTL8111G which uses r8168 driver

[ 1.399860] r8168 Gigabit Ethernet driver 8.038.00 loaded

[ 1.399882] r8168 0000:04:00.0: PCI INT A -> GSI 18 (level, low) -> IRQ 18

[ 1.399899] r8168 0000:04:00.0: setting latency timer to 64

[ 1.399976] r8168 0000:04:00.0: irq 45 for MSI/MSI-X

[ 1.412782] eth%d: 0xffffc900044b8000, bc:ee:7b:5d:e1:26, IRQ 4

crash was induced by ssh after a day or copy through samba from the nas raid 5 to the nas raid 5 (same volume), reading from or writing to was ok

While i could reproduce and crash on demand i no longer can so must be resolved

last thing i did was the rmmod=r8169 insmod=r8168

Did use gateone (changed default ssh port) and run "dmesg > /volume1/video/dmesg-seem-working.txt" to create dmesg dump and check boot settings, opened with windows wordpad, saved, then opened with notepad to solve the line feed issue.

Command line: BOOT_IMAGE=/zImage root=/dev/md0 ihd_num=0 netif_num=4 syno_hw_version=DS3615xs sn=B3J4N01003 vid=0x1221 pid=0x3234 loglevel=0 vga=0x305 libata.noacpi=1 rmmod=r8169 insmod=r8168

libata.noacpi=1 to solve messages and error i got pointing to ahci and/or acpi

rmmod=r8169 insmod=r8168 to use old driver
