biggiesmallsiz 0 · ID: 1 Posted March 7, 2015 Hi Friends, I have a brand spankin new N54L that I set up recently, but I'm having a hard time figuring out what is keeping the disks running. Is there any way to check? I have a 8gb usb w/ XPEnoboot 5.1-5022.3 plugged in for the NAS to boot from, and just a single 3TB drive plugged in at the moment. Hdparm works in immediately spinning down the disk, but it immediately starts back up. I have SABNZBD running, but that is the only app I installed. Thanks! Dfds 37 · ID: 2 Posted March 7, 2015 I believe SABNZBD will prevent the HDD's spinning down.
biggiesmallsiz 0 · ID: 3 Posted March 8, 2015 Thanks for letting me know. I thought that SABNZBD prevented NAS hibernation (makes sense), but I didn't realize it would also prevent spindown. Is there an alternative I can use or something else I can do?
