chinablue Posted August 3, 2020 Share #1 Posted August 3, 2020 Help I've installed docker and then put calibre in a container. I've calibre library on a USB drive, how do I get docker to see my folder on the external HD. I'm pulling my hair out. Symlink won't work. billat29 Posted August 3, 2020 Share #2 Posted August 3, 2020 (edited) 1. The USB drive should be visible in FileStation. Right click "properties" will give you the location (my example is /volumeUSB3/usbshare). 2. In your docker compose file, there should be an ENV entry for the directory that calibre wants to see the library. (Or this would be listed in the instructions that came with the docker. 3. In the docker run command (or from the DSM GUI) map the USB volume to the docker container volume. I always use the command line, so my command would be something like sudo docker run --name=calibrecontainer --volume=/volume3USB3/usbshare:/path-to-calibre library ......... 4.Ah yes! The guid and puid that docker is using has to match that of a user that has permission to those folders.
