ldmelo Posted February 1, 2015 Share #1 Posted February 1, 2015 I am running DSM 5.0 4493 on VMWARE 10 on a windows 8.1 notebook. Everything is working great. Only thing I miss is the ability for VMWARE to keep the notebook awake while the synology NAS is being accessed. Any way to do that?? For energy saving purposes I have the notebook on standby all the time. When I need to access it, I send a WOL package and the notebook is ready in a matter of seconds. However, browsing my photos (via dsphoto+) or accessing the synology server through the web doesn’t seem to be considered by windows as an activity… windows thinks the notebook is idle and send it to sleep again after the predetermined sleep timeout.
