SDK665 Posted June 24, 2020 Share #1 Posted June 24, 2020 Hello everyone. Anyone knows what the values of these fields are if I want to change the DSM to 24-Drive ? I am having some problem with my SAS2008-IT seeing all 12 of my drives. It only sees 10 of the 12 drives. I watched this vid: but still don't know what value to put for the 16/24 drives. These are the values I am looking for. 16-Drive maxdisks="16" esataportcfg="---" usbportcfg="---" internalportcfg="---" 24-Drive maxdisks="24" esataportcfg="---" usbportcfg="---" internalportcfg="---" Thank you in advance
IG-88 Posted June 24, 2020 Share #2 Posted June 24, 2020 (edited) 16-Drive maxdisks="16" esataportcfg="0x0" usbportcfg="0xf0000" internalportcfg="0xffff" 24-Drive maxdisks="24" esataportcfg="0x0" usbportcfg="0xf000000" internalportcfg="0xffffff" no e-sata ports, 4 usb btw. if your cpu is at least haswell then you could use 918+, that has a default of 16 in the loader and the loader can be easily modded to support 24, that way it cant "break" on updates as its checked/patched on every boot process Edited June 24, 2020 by IG-
smittyjones502 Posted April 6, 2023 Share #3 Posted April 6, 2023 I'm kind of having the same issue. I'm trying to get my DSM 6 build to do 36 drives and watched the video and did the binary to hex conversion and on reboot it doesn't boot back into DSM. When I use the Synology Assistant it comes up as migratable. i'm using the following; usbportcfg 0x300000000000 esataportcfg 0xFF000000000 internalportcfg 0xFFFFFFFFF Now i'm using the DS3617xs version but I wouldn't think that would make a difference would it?
