Nanoboot 5.0.4.1 fake or silent release?

Just curious what's different in this version, if it is legitimate. I'm going to guess that it fixes some bugs for booting into DSM 5.0, but doesn't yet boot 5.1.

http://nanoboot.eu.org (click the download link at the top of the page)

I don't trust the colafile download page. Malwarebytes blocks several things on that page and blocks my download.

The Dropbox file names indicate version 5.04.1, but the main page (updated January 6th) doesn't mention this version as of today (January 8th).

The site nanoboot.tk appears to have expired or been replaced by one of those generic link pages that domain hosts often put up.

a mirror site at http://xpenology.pety.me/ does not show the 5.0.4.1 version, but only up to 5.0.3.1

No mention of it on cynlabs forum http://cyanlabs.net/Forum-XPEnology-Gnoboot-Nanoboot-Support

Nothing on http://forum.xpenology.nl/ either.

I have to get back to work, so I can't investigate further until later this evening.

Must be legit because it's on official Dropbox account of Sancome, so...

He has updated his website with a donation link, maybe he's back in the game

Wait & see

Not sure if it's fake, but definitively it's not working to send money via PayPal and I know this since some time already.

I have been getting my nanoboot images directly from that site for some time now since his last site went down which he put out a little blurb on it.

5.0.3.2 came out the same way once he updated 5.0.3.1... No announcement... Just the release.

The only question is what changes were made and does this allow dsm5.1 install without dismounting the volumes?

**EDIT**

NVM, if you translate the Chinese text it looks like he is still working on dsm5.1 so this nanoboot 5.0.4.1 shouldn't work on it. Ill be sending over a donation once he is able to get DSM5.1 going...

A DSM 5.1 boot image is under heavy development behind closed doors with a team of contributors (sancome included). We have had great success and are in the process of working out the last few bugs. Try to be patient and wait for a release announcement.

XPEnoboot is the new project for DSM 5.1? Who knows

Correct! Along with DSM 5.1 you get a flashy, fancy pants new name too! Since this release is a cross collaboration between a bunch of developers we decided to give the project a new name. There are also some tactical architecture changes which make it drastically different from how previous boot images were built and worked. These changes will hopefully broaden hardware support and lengthen the lifetime of releases (ie. support more versions of DSM & updates).

Hope I've wet your anticipation a bit more.

Is there any chance you guys separated rd from zImage, like how it used to be early in gnoboot days?
