espetoet Posted May 22, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 22, 2020 Hello I would like to know if you have a functional browser spk package. like the qnap model and the web station. it would be very interesting to have a browser within the synology, to access internal pages like the router or local site for testing. someone has already done this feat
IG-88 Posted May 23, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 23, 2020 how about using docker? https://github.com/jlesage/docker-firefox

Cardinal Posted June 19, 2022 Share #4 Posted June 19, 2022 I had a similar request, but the only way I could access the NAS was through Synology QuickConnect, but it allows to use only Synology packages. I couldn't forward ports because of ISP NAT :( In this situation I used a Docker image based on Ubuntu with XFCE Desktop Environment with Chrome Remote Desktop (it uses outbound connections and doesn't requere port forwarding) to connect to it and use Firefox browser inside the container. You can find detailed instructions here: https://github.com/cardinalby/chrome-remote-desktop-image
Cardinal Posted June 19, 2022 Share #5 Posted June 19, 2022 (edited) [del duplicated msg] P.S. It was done on original Synology DSM, but I see no reason it wouldn't work on xpenology Edited June 19, 2022 by Cardinal
