pro_info Posted April 24, 2020 #1 Posted April 24, 2020 (edited) Hi, guys, Just a simple question, I'm thinking of buying 2xSSD sata for the passthrough at xpenology. I just want to make sure that the SSD cache also works with sata disks and not just NVME disks. 0 flyride Posted April 24, 2020 #2 Posted April 24, 2020 Yes, SATA works fine for cache. Be advised more RAM is probably better than SSD cache for most workloads. R/W cache exposes your array to crash-induced data loss. R/O cache is okay.
