can some one help me out why resync is slow after 2%

Question

 

here is the result after the 2% passed

 

Personalities : [linear] [raid0] [raid1] [raid10] [raid6] [raid5] [raid4] [raidF1]
md2 : active raid5 sdd3[3] sdc3[2] sdb3[1] sda3[0]
      17567101632 blocks super 1.2 level 5, 64k chunk, algorithm 2 [4/4] [UUUU]
      [>....................]  resync =  3.6% (211587552/5855700544) finish=3857.8min speed=24383K/sec

md1 : active raid1 sda2[0] sdb2[1] sdc2[2] sdd2[3]
      2097088 blocks [12/4] [UUUU________]

md0 : active raid1 sda1[0] sdb1[1] sdc1[2] sdd1[3]
      2490176 blocks [12/4] [UUUU________]

unused devices: <none>
 

during 0-1% was speed=90,000K/sec-120,000K/sec

 

already set 100mb/s min 600 mb/s max on the settings of raid resync speed

 

 

hardware:

Hp proliant mL110 G7

xeon E3-1220

6g ram

built in onboard controller of ml110 set as ahci

4x identical wd rednas 6tb

already tried  shr same result

currently trying  raid5 none shr

DSM6.2 on juns 1.03b

1.what  can i check why it slows down  after 1%

2. all drives are almost new and no files

3. already tried  versions 5.2 and 6.02 and 6.1 and 6.1.7

what drives exactly?

maybe your new spare drive is one with shigled recording?

i am encountering on

WD60efax

sata6gbs NXha500

Nasware 3.0

 

 

this drives are recommended on qnap but my project did not push thru since 4x6tb will only appear 12tb or less due to old qnap hardware limitation

 

btw i tried just now a mock up trial 4x WD20EFRX as shr1 it could it 60-100 without problem

thats a very sad news im reading the link you provided,  would there be a list here  of drives that are not smr?
