Refract Posted March 25, 2020 Share #1 Posted March 25, 2020 Hi guys, I'm new to Xpenology and started by following this tutorial: After installation I could not find the Xpenology either through http://find.synology.com or the Synology Assistant. I tried installing the extra.lzma driver module by IG-88 for 1.02b and it still wasn't working. I simply mounted the image with OSFMount and replaced the extra.lzma in Jun's bootloader. Is that incorrect? Any help would be much appreciated :). Also sorry in advance for any poor formatting, please don't remove this. Ethernet NIC (as reported by Ubuntu): Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. RTL8111/8168/8411 PCI Express Gigabit Ethernet.
Refract Posted March 25, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted March 25, 2020 (edited) Couldn't edit my original post and I decided to give some additional information in case it helps other people. Update: It is working! Turns out I had to use the DS3615 bootloader as my cpu is not supported for the DS916+ bootloader as it has a Sandy Bridge architecture. DS916+ only supports Haswell and newer.
