Newbie: Initialize Drives without erasing data

ltworf13

Question

Just replaced my OS/Distro from Ubuntu to DMS 5.0 and my existing sata drives, which has over 10 tb of data are not showing as realy. The are not initialized account to the volume option. And every option I try to get them Initialized requires a format of the drives. Is there not a way to do this without erasing my data. Is there I package I can install that can help.

Thx in advance

Rob

DSM initialization is repartitioning and re-formating drives.

Your drives can not be used directly without data lost.

You will have to come up with some intermediate storage to save your data.
