Missing HDDs after update to 6.2.2-24922

Hi everyone,

I am missing one of my two volumes since 6.2.2 update (and Jun's loader from 1.02b to 1.03b), and missing 6 HDD, the ones that are connected to the motherboard.

It's really strange that these drives would not work...

grub.cfg is configured like this (and was configured the same way on 6.1.7):

set sata_args='sata_uid=1 sata_pcislot=5 synoboot_satadom=1 DiskIdxMap=0C SataPortMap=1 SasIdxMap=0'

and I tried with SataPortMap=46, and SataPortMap=64 with no success.

Do you have an idea what can cause this issue ? Before reverting to 6.1.7. (Or try to)

Below are some explanations.:

Before the update:

I had a working setup on DSM 6.1.7 with Jun's loader 1.02b for DS3615xs, that I wanted to update.

Specs are:

- Supermicro X8DTU-F with Intel ICH10R SATA 3.0Gbps Controller

- Two Intel Xeon 5560

- 32 GB Ram

- 6x 4TB DATA HDD drives connected to motherboard

- 4x 4TB SATA HDD drives connected to PCIe extension card

Made backup of really important files and of USB boot drive before applying update just in case.

Applying the update:

- Made the new usb boot drive with Jun's loader 1.03b for DS3615xs following this tutorial:

grub.cfg was updated with the same configuration I had on 6.1.7, as the usb drive is the same.

- Added extra drivers (not sure if they were really needed) from case 2 as explained here:

- Followed instructions on the upgrade, everything went fine, uploaded the correct .pat file for 6.2.2 and DSM went available, with correct name and one volume.

After more testing, I have been able to figure out what was causing the issue.

In the bios, SATA mode was set to IDE instead of AHCI. It did work on 6.1.7 but did not on 6.2.2.

Maybe this could help someone in the future !
