marc_al Posted May 14, 2013 Share #1 Posted May 14, 2013 Hello, I am trying to compile a new kernel for the 4.2 (I am still looking for what I am missing to make a kernel myself) and I have seen that the 4.2 source is not available anymore in github. https://github.com/nighthawk149/xpenology-4.2-kernel Can someone please tell me if it is removed or if it has been renamed? (I have an error 404). I have seen the project git://github.com/Vincentxiaojie/xpenolo ... usybox.git but it is for the tools and not the kernel. Thank you Marc

Thank you Marc Then maybe this (from the post above this one)... https://github.com/andy928/xpenology That's the 4.1 source, it will probably not work with a 4.2 base system. seanp Posted May 14, 2013 Share #6 Posted May 14, 2013 That's the 4.1 source, it will probably not work with a 4.2 base system. Probably why I got the version errors when I tried. Sorry about that. Associated to one of the links posted above I can see this repository: https://github.com/Vincentxiaojie/xpenology (which is different than the URL for the tools) Is this the same? marc_al Posted May 15, 2013 Author Share #8 Posted May 15, 2013 Hello, You are right, the 4.1 won't work with the 4.2 (I tried and all the modules have a wrong version). The link I gave had the 4.2 that I used before but now the project has disappeared (error 404). Marc
